Sundarban Hazi Desarat College – A Journey of Hope & Education
Sundarban Hazi Desarat College, located at Pathankhali in the heart of the Sundarban region, was established with the noble vision of spreading higher education among the rural and economically challenged communities of this geographically remote delta area.
The college was founded through the dedicated efforts of local educationists, social workers, and visionaries who believed that quality higher education should be accessible to students from the islands and river-crossed villages of the Sundarbans.
Since its inception, the college has steadily grown in academic excellence, infrastructure, and student enrollment. It has provided opportunities for thousands of first-generation learners to pursue undergraduate education and build meaningful careers in teaching, government services, business, and social development.
Over the years, alumni of Sundarban Hazi Desarat College have made significant contributions in various fields, both within West Bengal and across India. Their achievements reflect the strength and resilience of the Sundarban community.
The Alumni Association was formed to reconnect former students with their alma mater, encourage networking, and contribute to institutional development.
